Holiday vibes in city downtown after Benalmadena Christmas lights 2024 are turned on

It was a magical time for a night walk around Arroyo de la Miel, the city’s downtown, after Benalmadena Christmas lights were switched on at the end of November.

Get the feel of holiday vibes and festive cheer as you stroll around this busy part of the city that lies between Benalmadena Pueblo, the old town higher in the mountains, and Benalmadena Costa that stretches along the Mediterranean shore.

It’s one of the three parts of Benalmadena where Christmas lights switch-on ceremonies for the holiday season took place on November 29. In Benalmadena, celebrating traditions and holidays is built into the city’s social fabric. There’s hardly a month here that passes without some of kind of memorable festivity, religious or cultural observance, or an array of other public events.

– Restaurant outdoor seating areas are chock-full of diners on a late November night
– Lots of places for children to have fun
– An encounter with a castañera, a seller of roasted chestnuts, a popular street food in Spain in late fall and winter.
